OUR HISTORY

Over 25 years ago, Bertrand Durand established the company DURAND Location with 700m² of tents, one employee and two heavy goods vehicles on a family farm in Géfosse-Fontenay in 1994

When he was at a trade fair, he discovered  aluminium structures and in 1996 he set upits Aluminium subsidiary, which gave rise to the initial CTS approved made in Durand Location tents.

In 1998, the company moved to its new 420m² premises that it was built in Bretteville l’Orgueilleuse.

In 2002, his sister and brother-in-law joined the company and it acquired its tarpaulin supplier SACNOR. It then set up a tarpaulin production workshop and built a second 600m² building. The company has grown rapidly, increasing its production of structures from an initial 700m² to over 6000m², undertaking a number of significant construction projects.

Thanks to its know-how, DURAND has quickly become a preferred partner. Working with well-known brands in the various sectors. When customers have new needs, Durand analyses ways to supply a new product.

This idea took shape in 2009 with the production of structures 15 to 20 metres tall.

Since then, Durand has continued to rethink its product supply, always putting human values, innovation and quality at the heart of its strategy.

In 2017, Bertrand asked his eldest son Maxime to take over.

At the age of 30, with an engineering background, he wasworking as a project manager for a multinational company when he decided to join the company. He already had extensive experience in construction project work and he often provided support to project teams. His commitment to the family persuaded him to put his experience to good use.

Since his arrival, he has advocated the development of the company through the restructuring, optimisation and development of tools and processes in order to meet the requirements for continuous improvement.
